Three Things I Like

Update: The link to Kettlecorn is no longer active.

1. The Twitter “best practices” page is full of good stuff, but this is especially good: Their list of tips for searching on TweetDeck and using filters. I’ve shared tools before that can help you find stuff on Twitter, but at this moment, there’s really no Twitter tool as powerful as TweetDeck.

2. A few months ago, I wrote about Popcorn, a web-based tool to help you add context to existing web video, or to build simple videos yourself using photos and sound. There’s a new update out, called Kettlecorn and it’s specifically targeted to journalists. They’ve taken the old platform and updated the fonts/icons to make it look more professional, and they’ve added better Google Maps integration. If you’re doing a lot of work with web video, it’s worth a look. (Thanks to Ayinde for sending that my way!)

3. And this one made me laugh: An infographic titled, “Should I Check E-mail?” (Though I do appreciate you checking your inbox for the weekly TFR update!)
