Right back at you!

Dan already recommended Boomerang (and introduced me to it), but I thought I’d bring it up again, since that was almost three years ago and they’ve added some pretty cool new features.

So here’s Boomerang comin’ at you again, just like it sends old emails to the top of your inbox. These pop-up emails work as reminders, schedulers and task managers.

One of the new(er) features is that you can append a note so you know what’s going on. You can be REALLY specific about when the email should pop up, or you can set it to a random time. You can have it returned only if no one responds, and you can customize the menu to respond whenever.

The other side of Boomerang is that it will also send messages later. This was especially useful for me when I was on the other side of the Earth from my email-ees, and it’s useful for journalists working at odd hours. (e.g., all of us.)

I should mention that Boomerang is a Gmail add-on, so technically it’s only useful if you’re already using Gmail, but if you’ve read Dan’s post, you should already be using Gmail 🙂 And they do have a paid version for Outlook.
