A long time ago I came across a study saying humans can take in words at a much faster reading speed than they usually read – if they do it through a method the researchers came up with.
Just the other day I was stoked to come across Readsy, which puts this idea to work. You paste a URL or upload a PDF (only up to 5MB, sorry, GAO reports) and have them shot straight into your retinas. It’s crazy and fun.
You can sign up for a free account and have the words run by you up to 800 words per minute. That’s like, Rain Man-fast. The best part is, you sit back, let your eyes go out of focus and just kind of ingest it. It’s nuts.
So – I suggest you upload that latest boring report and absorb it rather than read it. The future is scary but we might as well get through these city council meetings easier.
