Happy Friday, reporters! Sorry this is kind of late… I got back from a topsy turvy trip to Europe and have been kind of dozing at my desk.
Last week, while I was away, I was mentioned in Poynter, GIJN, and PR Newswire. That’s a lot for one week! (For a little freelancer like me.)
And I know about it because I have Mention.
Mention, you might have guessed, simply shows where/how you have been mentioned. With the free plan, you can set up alerts on three things (I have two: my name and TFR). I think it maxes out at 500 mentions a month, but really, who’s that famous.
I should “mention” that this is a classic rec from TFR founder Dan Oshinsky, who has started a newsletter consultancy! As I pointed out a couple weeks ago, newsletters are one of the keys to turning readers into payers, so you might want to pay attention.
I only use Mention’s weekly email summary, but there’s all kinds of things you could delve into if you were really interested. Watch yourselves, reporters!
