I’m mad, reporters. One of the most obvious (to me) tools that should be out there is being able to sort by likes and retweets on Twitter. What if I like the Emoji Mashup Bot, but only want to see the very best emoji mashups?
With Twitter itself, you can’t sort that way. (Which is ridiculous!!!) I got so annoyed, I spent a not-insignificant amount of my workday on this, so here we go:
FollowFly will sort by likes or retweets, but only for the last year. And only for accounts, not hashtags or anything.
SocialBearing will go back 3,200 tweets… but you have to sit there clicking a button to load 200 tweets a time. Dang API!! At least SocialBearing will do this for hashtags and such, instead of just accounts.
So there you go. If you want to do this for yourself, I think you’d have better luck downloading your entire tweet archive and sorting the spreadsheet. But that would only work for your own account, of course.
If anyone has the secret key to the answer for this, let me know. But I doubt it. Tweet good tweets, reporters!
