Welcome back, reporters! Of all the many hats a journalist wears, SEO optimization might actually be the least fun (at least for me).
Well a journalist is tackling that with YESEO! (It’s cute if you say it out loud.) The YESEO app only works inside of Slack – so if you’re not a Slack newsroom, it’s unfortunately not for you. But I like that it’s available in languages other than English, and it was made as part of RJI’s innovation fellowship.
YESEO spits out SEO keywords you could use to maximize a story’s chances of getting picked up and read. It even uses some AI to write headline ideas (the AP generally considers AI use to be ok for things like headline ideas – just don’t use it to write your whole article!).
