Hello, reporters! I’m in Serbia this week, speaking at a conference about finding misinformation on the Internet. So I guess it’s a good time to introduce…
MisinfoCon, as its name suggests, started as a conference back in February. (There’s another one coming up in November.)
But between meetings IRL, MisinfoCon is building a community of journos and others taking on this pretty monumental misinfo problem we’ve got going on. I curate the website, which publishes articles about this issue, and, hopefully, solutions.
All this is to say, I’m looking for pitches! If you have any projects, problems or thoughts relating to misinformation, we pay $100 per article. And if you’re interested in getting involved in other ways, MisinfoCon also offers a calendar of events and small grants.
Be sure to email me if you have any questions at all. This TFR was kind of self-promotiony, so I’ll try cook up a real doozy for you next time. Til then!
