To the moon with CometDocs

Hello again, reporters! You have probably seen many tools out there for converting files from one type to another (including extremely specific websites like pngtopdf.com). But in my experience, CometDocs is by far the best.

Let’s say you ask for a list of legal fees, and a source hands you a pile of several-hundred-page PDFs that really should have just stayed in Excel, and you have to sit and merge and convert and wish they could just export a file for once?? Not speaking from personal experience or anything.

Luckily, that PDF can be easily switched back to Excel via CometDocs. You could also switch to something like Word, plain text or even a Powerpoint if that makes sense. Admittedly, CometDocs can’t perfectly convert every file, but it is far better than most. Adobe Pro might be better, but doesn’t have a free version.

If you’re a member of IRE, you can get CometDocs premium for free, which means you can OCR documents and store them online. Otherwise, you can still convert files within a certain limit. Wrangle those files, reporters!
